Tassel Events is the proud producer of the Mx Burlesque Victoria and The Apprentease Victoria.
Competitions give burlesque performers the wonderful opportunity to strive to be the best they can be in their art form and gain valuable feedback (and prizes) from industry superstars. Mx Burlesque Victoria and The Apprentease Victoria are the two biggest burlesque competitions in Victoria and have launched some of the biggest stars in Australian Burlesque and we consider it an honour to produce the Victorian competitions.
Mx Burlesque Victoria
Mx Burlesque Australia (MBA) is a unique competition which aims to uphold the rich history of the art of striptease while advancing modern performance art in the neo-burlesque revival.
In 2022, the Miss Burlesque and Mr Boylesque competitions merged to relaunch as Mx Burlesque Australia. This competition is now open to all expression of gender identity with each state running their own competition.
The Apprentease aims to shine a spotlight on new talent and semi-established solo artists keen to refine their skills and advance their performer profile.
Each state runs their own final aiming to strengthen our wonderful burlesque community through education, celebration, and industry support.
